The Liberia National Police has arrested a 28 year old man identified as Perry Johnson, a resident of Brewerville Community for alleged impersonation and theft of property.
He was arrested by the LNP on May 22, 2018 in Monrovia. According to Police preliminary investigation, suspect Perry Johnson was arrested after he allegedly extorted fifty-thousand Liberian Dollars in check and Ten Thousand Liberian Dollars cash respectively from Hon. Mary T. Broh under the pretense that he was sent by Hon. Jefferson Koijee to solicit assistance for funeral service.
Police investigation also established that he is a con-artist who has since been soliciting monies from several individuals in Liberia purporting as journalist and other prominent personalities in the Liberian society.
It can be recalled in May 2016, suspect Perry was arrested investigated, charged and forwarded to the Monrovia City Court for impersonation after he allegedly purported himself as journalist Kelvin Demey and extorted 800.00 USD from one, Paul Collins and his wife Kebbeh Collins under the pretense of carrying on public relations and other media services.
Meanwhile, suspect Perry Johnson is currently in Police custody at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police undergoing investigation.
