LNP Assures Maximum Protection, As Muslims Observe Ramadan


A high Power delegation from the Muslim Community headed by the Chief Iman of Liberia, Ali Krayee paid a courtesy visit at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police ahead of the celebration of this Holy month of Holy Ramadan.

During the visit on May 16, 2018, Police Inspector General, Col. Patrick T. Sudue welcomed the delegates at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police and expressed delight for the visitation.

The Police Chief assured all Muslims and well-wishers including every member of the public maximum Police protection during the fast month of Ramadan in Liberia.

He at the same time called on the Muslim community to notify the Liberia National Police on every event during the month of Ramadan for assistance.

Col. Sudue urged all Muslims and non-Muslims of Liberia to keep the Month of Ramadan holy and do away with any form of violence.

“You can rest assure that this month of Ramadan will be one of the most peaceful months of observance of prayer for Liberia and Africa and the world,” added Inspector General Sudue.

The Police Chief assured the Muslim community of his administration’s commitment to ensuring their safety during this holy month of Ramadan.

“We are aware that during these times, most of you fall victim to criminal activities which lead you to losing your shoes, slippers and other belongings. Some of you are sometimes attacked while making your way for prayers,” Col. Sudue affirmed.

He assured the Muslim executives of the LNP’s commitment to averting any criminal attempt on their persons.

In his reaction, the Chief Iman of Liberia, Ali Krayee thanked Col. Sudue for his farsightedness in inviting them and assuring them of Police protection during this Holy month of Ramadan.

Chief Iman Krayee intoned that this was the first time for an Inspector General of Police to prioritize the Muslim community in such form and manner on the occasion marking their Ramadan celebration.

He pledged to work with Police authorities in ensuring the protection of Muslims across Liberia.
