Man Arrested for Killing Police Officer
A 22 –year- old man identified as Davis Wilson has been arrested by the Liberia National Police for allegedly killing a Police officer of the Police Support Unit (PSU) of the Liberia National Police. Officer Moses B. Dell was stoned in the head by suspect Davis Wilson in the LBS Community, Paynesville on the 4th of May 2018 when he had gone to sympathize with his bereaved family.
According to our preliminary investigation, suspect Wilson being so furious over the loss of his phone immediately pull out a knife which was retrieved from him by one Prince Konneh and turned over to the Community Chairman, Nathaniel Slogan. It was then that suspect Wilson took a rock and hit officer Dell on the head while his back was turned.
After the officer sustained injury, he was immediately rushed to the Pool of Bethesda Medical Clinic and later transferred to the JFK hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
In another development, Patrolman Cornelius Stewart was also killed in a motor accident on May 6, 2018 on 1st Street, Tubman Boulevard by a Blue Toyota Bus marked B10093 and operated by Moses Kollie.
Patrolman Stewart was riding a red Bajah Boxer motorbike from Central Monrovia to Sinkor while the bus was traveling to the opposite direction when they collided.
As the result of the accident, Officer Stewart sustained serious bodily injury. He was rushed to the JFK Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile the operator of the bus, Moses Kollie, a resident of Soul Clinic Community in Paynesville is currently in Police custody undergoing investigation.
